The Grand Adventure - days 4 & 5

On our fourth day, the kids played more outside on the different toys and Gran and I made a new tea cosy. I need to get a picture of it, but basically we let Sarah and Jeremiah each pick out fabric for it and then Gran quilted designs on the sides based on each kid's simple drawing. It is unique and will hopefully provide lots of fun memories from our trip.
Sarah and Jeremiah were very excited to visit Grans church on the fifth day. Sarah didn't understand that in the United Methodist church baptism is done by sprinkling water on the babies head. She would like to be baptised, but only if she can wear goggles because she doesn't like getting water in her eyes. I think we'll wait until she has a better concept of baptism before it's even an option for her.
After lunch and some quick naps we headed off to the Heifer Village.

They had a game where you went around a board and picked up different blocks representing the different steps to get out of poverty (food, shelter, education, savings, etc). Each block gets put into the scale. Jeremiah decided it looked like a potato weigher and collected the fake potatoes from a different exhibit to weigh.
