We got up yesterday and on a whim decided go to fruit picking. We went back to Hartland Orchard, where we picked apples last year, and picked rasberries and peaches.
We started out picking rasberries. Jeremiah kept asking us to put more in his container because he was eating them faster than he (and Aaron) were picking them.
Even Joshua got in on the rasberry picking, although we didn't let him try them. We ended up with 2 pints of delicious rasberries.
I let Joshua try some peach, he seemed to be enjoying it. While I was up in the tree, Sarah decided to share some of her peach with Joshua. When we got over to him, he had a mouth full of peach, including skin. He surprised us by managing to get it all down without choking.
We left the orchard with 66 peaches. So far we have made baby food, salsa, cobbler, and a fruit salad.
The only drawback seems to be the effect all these peaches are having on our children's digestive tracks. We have had several sprints to the bathroom. And Jeremiah has spent the last day back in diapers to recover.
OOOHhh sorry about Jeremiah, but how wonderful you got to spend some good family time together.
